Monday: Virgo - To Bee or Not to Bee, That is No Longer the Question
The Moon is in Leo from Monday, February 2, 12:00 AM EST to Monday February 2, 10:21 PM EST –
See last week’s Monday Moonday here, for a discussion of the Moon’s effect in Leo during this period because the Moon has been in Leo Saturday and Sunday of last week, leading into this week. The analysis from the last Monday Moonday is the same for the Moon’s completion of its transit through Leo. This link takes you to the post in which I discuss the Leo Moon energies:
The Moon is in Virgo from Monday, February 2, at 10:22 PM EST to – Thursday February 5, at 4:33 PM EST -
The energy of these days is oriented to hard work, service, and perfecting activities in the material world. Virgo is the sign that gives the most to the world and rarely takes for itself, which inspired my teacher, Judith Hill, to say that, “Virgo’s symbol should be the donkey, not the virgin.” The air has a feeling of order and organization, but there is an underlying anxiety and need to move, mentally or physically. This necessity for movement is in some ways related to the nervous energies and springs forth from a need to accomplish goals, or at least work to move toward their accomplishment. This is a tense energy but also quiet and determined.
People will want to clean up messes, organize their spaces and lives more, create order, and generally do small tasks that need to get done. They will be more effective and efficient, so you can expect harder work at this time. They may be more able to work in the world of details and see the smaller parts of projects that are so important to successfully completing any task. This is a great time for team work – Virgo is the sign of helping others and working together like the worker bee and ant (the 6th house or Virgo house rules work teams). People tend to prefer quiet and sometimes solitude during this time, directing their energies to tasks on lists. It is good to be aware of other’s anxiety level as these Virgo Moon days have a feeling of nervous attention to daily activities. People may be pickier and more fastidious; the level of discernment is higher in general. They may put up more solid boundaries in their personal and work lives as well.
This is a waning quincunx Moon, and then energy is great for pushing forward projects steadily or trying to perfect the details with an eye towards positively impacting the larger goal of the undertaking. This one is good for organizing and ordering the structures of projects that are already underway; create a plan for completing the project that is easily executable. Give something that you started individually to a team, and they will help work it out before the new Moon, if the time horizon for completing the task is aligned with that time frame.
The Moon is Conjunct the South Node of the Moon (Ketu) from Tuesday, February 3, at 9:00 AM EST to Tuesday, February 3, at 7:45 PM EST –
This is a low point in the Moon’s monthly cycle, bringing a brief tired feeling to the normally wakeful and overactive Virgo sign energy. Expect more errors than the Virgo Moon normally allows. Also, the order and organization that comes with this transit can suffer from entropy or dissolution when Luna is near the South Node of the Moon, whose nature is to weaken, break down, and drain away structures in the material world. The lunar South Node removes boundaries while Virgo erects them. So it can counter activities undertaken as the transit started. The sign energy is very much at odds with this polarity of the lunar nodes. The sleepy energy of the South Node can help alleviate some of the negative Virgo energy of anxiety. Even in Virgo, there is an air of psychic openness and etheric activity. The Moon is the ancient planet of psychism, and the South Node of the Moon is a door to the spiritual world.
People may be more distant at this time, inward looking. There may be some unclarity of thought or undirected action, as Virgo keeps moving but the South Node breaks down the order. This is a time when people will try to accomplish small tasks, stay on the ball, and keep to their routines, but it will be harder as the Moon Virgo energy is leaking out into the ether. Think of walking down a path that you have to keep clean and coming to a huge pit that blocks you from continuing to clean the path. There are thorny hedgerows on either side, and you need to stick to the path. The trick is to get over the pit and not get caught in it. With the South Node of the Moon, you can engage in useful spiritual practices or selfless service to use its energy most positively. Now, if others are not doing these two options, they may need support as they try to balance the opposing energies of this transit. As a result, people may be less happy, friendly, and helpful at this time, so give them space. And give it to yourself as well! Just try to use spiritual or selfless energies to overcome the entropy and make a bridge across the pit, but do not get down on yourself if you just need to watch others build the bridge or simply wait out this transit before pursuing practical activities.
Thursday: Libra - Harmony & Charm are in the Air
The Moon is in Libra from Thursday February 5, at 4:34 PM EST to Saturday February 7, at 2:14 PM –
The energy of these days is of balance, poise, and harmony. Things of beauty and art are pleasant attractions these days. Libra is Venus’s social sign (the air signs are social signs), and the energy of the Moon here is one bespeaking one on one interactions. The air has a feeling of friendliness, charm, and companionability. Still, there can be tension under this Moon when opinions vary or judgments must be made. Logic and reason rule these days, but are they objective or subjective? Still, the energy is more soothing and placating than aggressive.
People will tend to be happier on these days, with a desire to have little personal conversations and connections, especially one on one interfaces. This transit encourages partners and close friends to connect. There is a tendency for people to be more reasonable and just. However, this can play out differently: a person may be stubbornly stuck to an opinion that they find to be logical and defend it without actually seeing the situation objectively. People will not want to be alone, and they may wander the office looking to chit chat rather than sit at a solitary desk and do their work. Screen addiction is worse during this one, so watch for others to be in front of movies, reels, and doom scrolling rather than doing anything useful J This Moon also has a tendency to make people want to watch what others are doing, so be sure you are following rules and behaving yourself!
Saturday: Scorpio - Emotions are Strong but Internalized
The Moon is in Scorpio from Saturday, February 7, at 2:14 PM to Sunday, February 8 at 11:59 PM EST –
The energy in the air is a bit heavy, sensual, emotionally stimulating; it is a bit like waiting for something important or sudden to happen. Scorpio is fixed water, so the emotional world is prominent but not visibly active; currents flow beneath the surface or freeze. There is usually sensual and sexual energy underlying these Scorpio Moon days as well. These are days that can bring a feeling of intrigue or mystery; there are secrets that need to remain hidden. Things can come to a critical head under the Scorpio Moon.
People may be more introspective, cautious, controlled, and concentrated. This is a passionate Moon placement, so deep emotions can feel more intense. Another way to think of it is that emotions are strong but generally internalized. However, anger can bubble over if there is betrayal or if someone is hurt emotionally – this is, after all, Mars’ slow burning sign. Mars rules anger. While a hurt person might seem to have processed the situation, you have to beware of the sting, which can come under this Moon. People can be more devoted to work or others at this time.
This is a waning square Moon, with a lot of intensity. Controlling the final outcome of projects that you started during this lunation (back at the new Moon in late Capricorn on January 28, 2026, is good to do under this Moon. Scorpio likes to dig deep, so be sure to check out all the potential flaws or errors, research ways to make it excellent, and start to proceed down the path to conclusion. If tension or friction arises, use your powers of concentration and desire to control energy to smooth them out and move forward.
