The energy of the day is social, but there is a coldness to it. Saturn’s air domicile is about bigger picture ideas that help humanity, but it lacks the personal connective touch of the other air signs. The air may feel a bit electric and unpredictable. There can be new ideas or ideals shaping action; this is an inventive energy. The Moon is uncomfortable here because she feels best where a personal touch is preferred. You can expect friendly but detached from the world over these days. Here it is important to actively stay positive. I have noticed increased aggression while commuting under this Moon transit, so be careful driving to work; if someone is driving unsafely, just stay away from them.

People tend to be friendly but can be distant under this Moon. There is a tendency for people to get lost in thoughts or the world of ideas. You may have to ask someone the same question a few times before you get an answer. There can be discussions about humanitarian ideals or idealized visions of life. This Moon can enhance imagination, so look for people to express interesting thoughts. Philanthropic ideas can be pronounced but under this Moon, action does not always follow ideal. This can be a bit of a sad Moon, so be sensitive to others if they seem a bit depressed. Warmth, light, and a nice smile can help them out!

This is a new Moon, and you can start new projects, though I prefer waiting for the Moon to grow a few days. Therefore, Tuesday is the earliest day that I recommend undertaking new activities. On the dark of the Moon, I the winter in the northern hemisphere, be sure to give yourself a boost and stay positive. Form some new ideas and imagine great things, and start things into action as the Moon grows and enters . . .

The energy of these days is sleepy, dreamy, and relaxed. It is a time where you feel like letting go of the stress and staying in bed with covers over your head. There is more tendency to absorb the energy around, so the days can be colored by the atmosphere in the news and activities of the world around you. The feeling in the air is one of meandering slowly through life. Pisces is the sign of dissolving the individual into the whole, and it is a sexy energy as well, so there can be a feeling of wanting to blend energies in different ways. This Moon’s energy is more spiritual than material, and it can be a day where the energy pulls inwards.

People tend to be more relaxed during this Moon period. However, they can also be lazy and indolent, so do not expect excess work or easily volunteered help from others. There is a tendency to escapism and a desire to withdraw, which people do in different ways. Personal kindness and compassion can be higher at this time, but active expression of these higher ideals is less likely. It is an odd catch 22 of the Pisces sign energy. Still, this is a caring sign and the Moon excels at nurturing, so compassionate care from one person to another is higher on these days. Those who are sensitive natally are more sensitive, so there can be reactiveness to words or actions that generally might not stimulate responsiveness.

This is a waxing Moon that is still averse to the Sun, but it is moving towards a sextile as it completes the transit through Pisces. The latter days are good for really undertaking projects or starting new things that you might have thought up in the Aquarius new moon phase. Pisces is not the ideal Moon for starting things, but here the Moon phase helps with the process running smoothly. It may be nice to undertake Piscean tasks like compassionate care of others, spiritual work, work in hospitals or other places where people are kept remote from society, psychic work, work on boats, social work, to name a few.

The Moon is in Aries from Friday, January 23, 8:26 AM EST to Sunday, January 25, 1:06 PM EST

The energy of these days is active, impulsive, energizing, and initiating. There is a feeling in the air of a fire starting, of something sudden and fast starting to move. Heat is underlying temperament of the days. Things start and projects move. The desire is for physical exertion, to use this hot, stimulating energy through movement and avoid feeling agitated and uncomfortable. Stuff happens and people do things under this Moon. It is cardinal fire, so the stuff and things happen fast, and there is an underlying energy of rushing or impulsivity.

People are more aggressive and forward under this Moon transit. They will be more independent and assertive (remember this behavior is applicable to the individual, so a naturally shy person will just be less shy).  People may be more reactive, responsive and expressive. There is a likelihood that people will act without thinking. Try not to be offended if someone says or does something impolite or offensive; be patient, and realize that the energy of impulse is controlling them at that moment. They are more likely to want to start new things, and originality is high. Do not expect people to follow instructions or follow through – this is an energy of independence and initiation.

This is a waxing sextile Moon moving to a square, and it is wonderful for pushing along projects or, even better, starting new ones. Being original and inventive is good under this Moon placement. Be sure to have a plan of action though, as Aries tends to start a good many activities but the ability to complete projects is stunted under this energy. Still, this is a perfect energy for getting something going fast and with good momentum. We wait for Taurus for completion.

The Moon is in Taurus from Sunday, January 25, 1:07 PM EST to the end of Sunday (and into next week)

The energy of the Taurus Moon days is slow, stable, comforting, comfortable, and steady. This is a magnetic Moon, so certain folks will attract lots of energy to them (Taurus Sun, Moon, Venus or ascendant most). The air has a feeling of calm, though it can feel sticky like starting things or things in their infancy are hard to move forward. There may be more of a desire for physical pleasures like good food, laying on the couch, watching media, etc. This Moon does have an artsy, creative side, and that energy is in play as well; it is design, fashion, and form oriented.

People are usually more settled under this, with the emotional undercurrent being slow and relaxing. They seek more pleasure and comfort. Temperaments are calmer. Drive to start new things can be low, but if there is something to finish, this Moon helps. The other side of Taurus is about building form in the material world, so people may get involved in or try to finish something that they have been constructing (it could be a work project, a garden project, a home project, etc.). People tend to create order under this Moon.  The artistic, Venusian energy of this Moon comes out in people dressing nicely or beautifying their work space or home.

This is a waxing square Moon, so tension in moving projects forward can arise. The trick is to push through by using the mind to figure out the problem (Aquarius Sun is mental problem solving) and using the physical energy to do what the mind suggests (Taurus is the physical action to complete work). Due to the Moon phase, you might not be finishing things here, but make the foundation for getting things done much stronger here; that is a practical use of this energy.
