Weekly Moon-cast: Moon in Aries and the Eclipse Special

Updated: Feb 23

How to Understand the Impacts of This First Solar Side of this Eclipse Season:

For this next lunar cycle, starting with the Moon in Aries, we will explore:  How the Moon Affects You and How to Use Her Energy Best as She Transits Each Sign and Conjoins Each Planet!

This week, when the Moon again ingresses into Aries, and I will discuss that transit by suggesting ways in which you can use the vibrant, active, dynamic energy of the Moon in Aries as well as giving some ideas of where prudence is more necessary under this lunar transit. However, I will begin by addressing this week’s lunar eclipse, which peaks on February 17, at 7:02 AM EST. I will begin discussing Luna’s daily transits by sign in the week of February 19, when she enters Aries at 2:40 PM EST.

Solar Eclipse in Aquarius: Shifts in Humanities' Focus, New Inventions and Creative Works are Afoot, Watch the Markets and Rebels v. Kings - Who Will Win?

New Moon Solar Eclipse at 28 Degrees Aquarius – Most Active from February 17, 4:00 AM to 10 AM ET.

The upcoming eclipse is a North Node of the Moon eclipse in Aquarius. There is astral energy coming into Earth strongly through the sign of Aquarius as the North Node of the Moon is an energy input point for astral energy coming into the material world. The South Node of the Moon is an exit point for material world energy, but it is an input point for spiritual energies. The most intense period is today through Wednesday, but these energies are active through the next eclipse, which is on March 3, 2026. This is the first eclipse in the Leo/Aquarius axis, and the Nodes will not move into those signs until July 28, 2026, and they will stay in that sign axis for 1.5 years after that date. Here, with this eclipse, we can see a harbinger of what is to start in late July 2026.

Before I get into some ideas about how this eclipse might impact world events and individuals, as well, I want to start with a cautionary word. Eclipses represent “blips” is the solar lunar energy as it flows to Earth. These energetic anomalies tend to have potent impacts on both the world and individuals, and the results are usually not positive, no matter the nodal side of the eclipse. Ancient cultures feared and revered eclipses, seeing them as prophetic of dire events and changes. A review of how eclipses impact historical events speaks volumes to the perspicacity of the ancients. My own modern review of how eclipses impact individuals, especially when they fall within 3 degrees of a natal planet on either side, demonstrates how important it is for all of us to be aware of the nature of eclipse that is hitting.

Now, that being said, I recommend not being outside during the 3 hours before and 3 hours after the peak of an eclipse. If you have to be outside, try to visualize a circle of golden light around your body, protecting you from the eclipse rays. Use prayer and mantra – if you are into these techniques – to protect your energy field. There are many more excellent techniques for balancing the off-kilter flow of the eclipse period, and in future newsletters, I will mention those as well.

The North Node Eclipse in Aquarius:

This can indicate that humanitarian ideals might be highlighted. This is an egalitarian eclipse, and ideas like diversity and inclusion can be championed during the coming few years. Civil rights issues, including women’s rights, racial equality, and gender equality are all potential foci during

This is a great energy for philanthropies and not profits to build steam on their causes and on gathering monies. This can be a dreamer’s and idea person’s eclipse; sometimes these great ideas emerge into the collective conscious through the media at this time, but they may remain behind the scenes and become public during the North Node of the Moon’s transit through Aquarius, which starts on July 27, 2026. Great people can become a focus under this eclipse. Creative and imaginative works are produced. Do not be afraid to write down the crazy idea for a book or movie that pops into your head during this wave! Maybe you can get right to work on the idea with the Aries Moon on February 19.

Technological or scientific inventions can be made under this eclipse. Major topics include physics, aerospace engineering, high level mathematics, mechanics.  Same for when we see them.

This eclipse can impact the financial markets, especially tech stocks. Here, it could be surge upwards, though it pulls from Leo, so I would expect a pullback, especially with Mars coming to oppose the degree of this eclipse from degree associated with the fixed star Regulus. Watch in the next few days for a signal, which will be confirmed (or not) by the Mars transit mentioned below.

One of the negative sides of Aquarius is the rebellious and revolutionary tendencies of the sign and its natives. People resisting authority could rise up during this eclipse wave, or conversely be squashed by the authority – Leo, Aquarius’s opposing sign, is after all the sign ruling the King. As a result, rulers can be impacted for better or worse by this eclipse. Politics and political parties also shift under these eclipses, with a favor towards the far left, usually.

There is an increase of incoming electromagnetic radiation, so spend less time around devices and turn off your Wi-Fi at night today through February 18; it will help you feel calm and sleep better. There can be swings in blood pressure, and the electrical currents to the heart can be impacted. Those with pre-existing conditions should take care. Impaction and injury to the ankles and calves is more likely, so be careful with running, jumping, etc. during this eclipse wave. Careful of poison in the air; for example, things like radon poisoning can be more prolific in this season. This can signify blood borne illness or dirty blood. It is good to care for the organs that cleanse the blood like the liver, kidneys, and lymphatic system. Mental health is a bit fragile too, with anxiety and other agitated disorders being more intense.

We will likely see some of the activities or parts of life discussed above come to fruition when Mars passes the degrees 27 Aquarius to 0 Pisces between February 27 and March 3. As the planet of action in the world, Mars will trigger events related to the eclipse energy when he conjoins the degree of the eclipse. Again, this is a good time to get a feeling for what we might see during the nodal transits through Leo/Aquarius from July 27, 2026, to March 26, 2028.

I recommend that everyone get a copy of Judith Hill’s “Eclipses and You” if you want to better understand how eclipse energy impacts you and the world around you.

And now, to the Moon and How the Moon Affects You and How to Use Her Energy Best as She Transits Each Sign and Conjoins Each Planet!

Dancing in the Moonlight

Moon in Aries from February 19, at 2:40 PM ET to February 21, at 6:32 PM ET.

This is great energy for initiating new projects! The cardinal fire energy of Aries wants to get out and do things. This is an entrepreneurial Moon energy, so if you have a personal business, you can use this time to put effort into it. Get some exercise. Use physical activity to resist mental impulsivity. Go out and explore – this Moon is wonderful for discovering new people, places, or things, or in areas like medicine and the science of energy. The energy is active, passionate, and stimulating. Be original!

This is a social, partying Moon, but can induce excess drinking, so be careful! Go out dancing and have fun!  Also, it is good for performing – music, dancing, theater are all possibilities. If you do not perform, go and see a performance instead! Make some colorful, expressive art or go see some.  Inspirational speaking is nice under this one; you can be positive and provocative. Teachers can have more gumption too, so it is nice for being in front of the class as a leader and authority.

Anger can be higher under this transit, so keep the temper under control; be the witness, not the actor. Especially with partners or in one-on-one situations, choose not to interact if conflict starts, and chose not to start conflict even if you feel offended.
