The energy of the Taurus Moon days is slow, stable, comforting, comfortable, and steady. This is a magnetic Moon, so certain folks will attract lots of energy to them (Taurus Sun, Moon, Venus or ascendant most). The air has a feeling of calm, though it can feel sticky like starting things or things in their infancy are hard to move forward. There may be more of a desire for physical pleasures like good food, laying on the couch, watching media, etc. This Moon does have an artsy, creative side, and that energy is in play as well; it is design, fashion, and form oriented.
People are usually more settled under this, with the emotional undercurrent being slow and relaxing. They seek more pleasure and comfort. Temperaments are calmer. Drive to start new things can be low, but if there is something to finish, this Moon helps. The other side of Taurus is about building form in the material world, so people may get involved in or try to finish something that they have been constructing (it could be a work project, a garden project, a home project, etc.). People tend to create order under this Moon. The artistic, Venusian energy of this Moon comes out in people dressing nicely or beautifying their work space or home.
This is a waxing square Moon, so tension in moving projects forward can arise. The trick is to push through by using the mind to figure out the problem (Aquarius Sun is mental problem solving) and using the physical energy to do what the mind suggests (Taurus is the physical action to complete work). This day will likely start with some electric, energy, even though the conjunction occurs in stable Taurus. Uranus Moon can raise emotional sensitivity. The air can be more excited, unpredictable and vibrationally weird. Sudden, unexpected events are more likely. The strange and peculiar are the norm at this time, and apply to Taurus things like financial markets, food, clothing, arts, building form, etc. There is some enthusiasm about life as well, though it can be effected by a pull to be overly impulsive. There will be more erratic driving as well – think of the Aquarius Moon last week.
People may be more independent and opinionated. There can be wonderful unique ideas that pop up. Talk about interesting humanitarian or new age topics can arise, but read the room before you make any potentially inflammatory comments because reactions can be hard to predict. Be careful because people’s emotions are less stable and more volatile; the emotional nature is a bit tense and passions are higher. There can be peculiar behavior, so be cautious, but also understand that this energy can push people to behave in ways that are not natural to them. Sudden reversals of behavior are possible as well. Mental stubbornness is higher, as is a desire not to listen to or obey authority. It can be frenetic at times, with a feeling of ungroundedness; the energy is erratic. As Judith Hill says in her brilliant work, Astrology and Your Vital Force, “Gemini energy resembles fast changing breezes.” The air has a feeling of locomotion and mental activation. People and things come and go quickly; no one wants to sit still all day! Lots of activities and projects can get attention but starting or finishing are not the focus. Take gentle teas to sleep if your mind refuses to shut off.
People are generally more chatty and friendly. People are mentally alert, but they can be unfocused; be sure if anyone needs to accomplish a task for you, you make sure they follow through. People want to have fun and play games more during this Moon transit. They usually have higher mental and physical activity. The world of emotions is highly energized as the Moon is in her home sign, making for a time when emotional reactiveness is higher; it will express differently depending on the emotional nature of the individual, but each person will feel his or her emotions more intensely. The air has a feeling of gentleness and receptiveness, though it carries some weight from openness of the psychic world on these days; the action is directed inward and contained to those close to each other. The Moon is the ancient planet the rules psychics, and Cancer Moons open doorways to the etheric world. This is a fertile energy, so new ideas may blossom. Creative energies tend to flow from emotional experiences.

The energy of this period is one of opportunity to explore the emotional and nurturing world. But emotions are expanded, and more prominent, so it is more sensitive even than the normal Moon transit here. The air can feel expressive and intimate feeling; the action is expanded out beyond the inner world and no longer as contained to expression as between those close to each other. Jupiter makes the self-centered nature of Cancer move outward, removing insecurity and replacing it with an experience of caring pushed into the outer world. The nature of Cancer to protect itself is now pushed to include protection of those close to it and also those in the outer world. Jupiter’s expansive nature is directed to nurturing, nourishing, and caring for others.
People may be more protective of those around them. The caring energy is higher. People can be more emotional as well – there is an abundance of feeling – so just watch how you interface at this time. This is because Jupiter can make larger Cancer’s natural tendency to be self-oriented to protect its own sensitivity. This will impact water Moon people most, but is also a general energy of these hours. People may take the normally parochial energy of the Cancer Moon, and use it to interface with the broader world.
Saturday: Full Moon Leo Energy - Enough Said

The energy of these days is fun, expressive, colorful, active, and lively. Leo Moon is fixed fire, the The air has a feeling of enjoying life and giving or receiving affection. There is a greater creative spark and urge at this time. Similarly, the flow of energy supports action and athletics, mostly for the pleasure aspects of things. Confidence is higher, but so is self-assuredness, in a pejorative kind of way. This is a sexy, romantic Moon, and people can enhance those parts of life by having a nice time together at the theater, movies, concerts, art shows, and/or a nice dinner together. Having fun and fulfilling desires can be nice this weekend! But be ready for Monday morning, because it always comes, and the boss may want to see you for some work as the Leo Moon comes towards its close on Monday morning.
This usually make for enjoyable experiences as between people. There is a desire to play and do pleasurable activities, so people are usually in a nice mood. However, folks can be more commanding and demanding under this Moon placement. There can be tendencies towards authoritarian or megalomaniacal behavior, on the negative side of this Moon. There is a more of a tendency to party and have a good time. Look for possessiveness (careful talking to people’s significant others!). Do not challenge the boss under this aspect! Children are usually more friendly and engaged. People will like to talk about themselves (or those close to them with whom they associate them “selves”) under this Moon, and you may too! But it is nice to listen as well. They will appreciate it ;-).
This will be a big full Moon, stimulating passionate energies, bringing romance, and burgeoning creativity and self-expression. Be careful of people being boastful and offensive under this energy. Also, there can be more anger and aggression with this fiery Moon, especially if someone’s ego is heated. Also, crime rates are always higher at full Moons, and the natural impulsivity of fire signs can increase this tendency.
