What to Expect from Planets Triggering the March 3 Full Moon South Node Lunar Eclipse in Virgo Reflexing to Pisces

Full Moon South Node Lunar Eclipse at 12 Degrees Virgo Occurred on March 3, 2026  

The most recent eclipse is a South Node of the Moon eclipse in Virgo, and, importantly, it reflexes to the North Node energy in Pisces. The South Node of the Moon is an exit point for material world energy, but it is an input point for spiritual energies, so the energy coming in through Virgo weakens and drains things related to that sign. On the opposite pole, there is astral energy coming into Earth strongly through the sign of Pisces because the North Node of the Moon is an energy input point for astral energy coming into the material world. The most intense period is today through Wednesday, but these energies are active through the next new Moon, which is on March 17, 2026. This is the 5^th eclipse in the Virgo/Pisces axis since 2024. This eclipse harkens back to the two eclipses in September 2025, so think about what happened in your life at that time. Events that occurred or people that you interfaced with can resurface in some way at this time. 

While the eclipse occurred on March 3, there are two more instances of planetary triggers this month that are coming during March that are likely to set off the latent meanings of the eclipse. First, the degree the eclipse occurred at – here 12 to 13 Virgo/Pisces – becomes an active degree for the months to a year after the eclipse. Triggers occur when a faster moving planet conjoins, opposes, or squares a slower moving planet or the degree of a past eclipse, thereby setting in motion the underlying vibrations of the less active planetary or eclipse energy. Here, we can use the upcoming triggers as examples. Mars is currently at 9 degrees Pisces. Using a very active one degree orb, Mars will move up to oppose the eclipse degree from the Tuesday morning, March 17, EDT to the Friday morning, March 20, EDT. Note that Judith Hill and I have both noticed that Mars is extremely active in the degree passed the precise conjunction with a planet or eclipse degree. Mercury will trigger the eclipse degree a week later, from Saturday afternoon, March 28, EDT, to Wednesday afternoon, April 1, EDT. Let us explore how these planets might set off the eclipse energies by opposition but also conjunction to active points.

The South  Node Eclipse in Virgo and the Mars/Mercury Triggers:

There can be a weakness in crops and crop production, so especially in the southern hemisphere, where it is harvest season, this eclipse can indicate reduced food productivity from farms. One of the traditional significations is famine. There can be a weakness with migrant workers at this time, including federal raids and such, especially under Mars’ trigger.   

If you grow your own food, this can indicate pests, disease or mold impacting your plants. Be proactive about protecting them  Both Mars and Mercury rule different kinds of pests, so be extra attentive for pests attacking your crops (by opposition, both planets can be aggressive). During the Mars transit, heat and dryness can also be damaging. During the Mercury transit, pests or issues will transfer between plants more readily, so it may be best simply to remove and isolate any impacted plants and clean the soil around them. Chemical burns are possible too, so be careful if you administer pesticides of any type.  From the Pisces side, clean water in abundance is nice – maybe with natural fertilizers in it, but only if the season has not been too wet already.

Small useful animals may also have challenges or be more obstreperous during this period. Be sure that fences are strong and well maintained as they can break down boundaries and desire to roam free in a Piscean way. During the triggers, Mars they could break out actively, and Mercury, they could sneak out. Do the prep work if you own or manage small animals.

Pray for the bees! If you know folks who use a lot of pesticides on a lot of property, send them a anonymous memo on what happens if we kill all of the bees.

Virgo has to do with employment generally, and there is a weakness in Virgo at this time. Expect poor numbers for employment in the next quarter. Virgo is the sign of service, and industries that are service based can weaken at this time. The healthcare industry can be affected. Nursing specifically is impacted, and it could manifest as shortages of nurses or less people going into the field during the totality of these eclipses (2024 to 2027). Food production and processing industries can see troubles, including difficulties with the means of production, loss of employees, fiscal issues, etc.

Mars and Mercury can relate to strikes and issues with poor communication, respectively, so watch for any issues of this sort in these industries as the eclipses are triggered. If you run your own service business, make sure that the employees are happy. They may just be less attentive or less likely to show up, so plan accordingly. Either Mars’ or Mercury’s transits can create issues with equipment in these industries, which can create issues with production, processing, and overall proper care of patients and customers.

Employees can cause trouble at this time, so just be aware. The workplace can have some issues with efficiency, effectiveness, neatness, and order/organization. If there is entropy, it could worsen. Get things cleaned up and in order now before you suffer losses from it! This is true for everyone, whether boss, employee, coworker, etc.

Watch for errors in your books at this time. Mars can be from moving too fast. Under Mercury’s trigger, it could be failures in technology, so back up your computers. Data systems of all types are weakened.

Industries relating to equipment production, tools, useful items, utilities, and most things related to the industrial process generally are weaker at this time. We can see labor strikes (Mars most likely time), but also just weaknesses with the means of productions and other shortages, perhaps in needful raw materials or workers.

Since the South Node favors natural healing modalities well, this is a good energy for herbalists, naturopaths, and other natural healers – they are especially good for finding out hard to diagnose problems under this energy, and for research into hidden health problems. This is a nice use of the Mars and Mercury research-oriented positives coming from Pisces to Virgo. Homeopathic remedies can be more effective at this time. Consult a licensed practitioner for more guidance. This can be useful for changing diet and exercise, perhaps using spiritual techniques.

If you need to be seen by a healthcare professional, be sure to double check diagnoses, particularly under the Mercury transit. If there are mysterious symptoms, look to the intestines, pancreas, liver, lymphatic system, and/or blood for answers. Also take care of your diet during and after this for the two weeks until the New Moon, as the digestion is weakened and there is a higher likelihood of getting bugs in the intestines or candida build up. In addition, problems can arise with disease spreading due to poor hygiene, so at least on an individual basis be extra cautious during this time period and through the trigger dates – wash hands, use sanitizer, and if you are so inclined, masks can be helpful (no political statement there, just something I noticed personally from being the parent of a young child (age 3 to 4) during CoVid – he went from being sick every day, to having almost no illnesses when the kids used masks).  Please be careful of hernias if you have any planets in Virgo – there is a weakness in the intestinal lining and aggression from Mars.

Virgo and Pisces rule immigration and migration across borders. Mars can insight violence or aggression related to immigration. He can also insight large scale migration as between countries. Responses by the governments can be overly intimidating under Mars, and duplicitous under Mercury.

Virgo does rule moving Earth, and Mars activates things, so mud and landslides are more likely. Even something like an avalanche is more possible where snow is located. Take proper precautions if you live or travel in areas where these natural disasters occur.

Water in mass can be an issue too. Mars can breed storms, floods, and large amounts of water coming from coastal regions in land. Take care of your basements and watch your plumbing as well!  

Positive Uses of the Eclipse Energies

Here are some things that you can do in the coming weeks to use the Virgo South Node eclipse energy positively, and thereby hopefully mitigate any negative effects that it might have on your life:  implement a new diet or exercise regime that is based on spiritual or natural ideas; adding spiritual practices to your daily routines and habits; plant seeds; thoroughly clean up your house or garden space; explore natural or herbal methods of healing (as an adjunct to whatever healthcare you already have); be of selfless service to others in some way (e.g., go work at the local soup kitchen); care for your animals health and physical needs; be a nurse to someone in need; be kind to others with whom your work (maybe bring them a healthy snack); fix the fences on your property; care for damaged clothing (mend it instead of throwing it away); and/or take care of your data systems and data to ensure its safety. You do not have to do all of these things but doing a few is helpful!

The above thoughts are all just potentialities of how the energy of the eclipse triggers could play out in your life and in the world; they are merely things about which you should be aware.
